Born in Freiburg, I have my roots in the Black Forest of southwestern Germany. My formative creative years were spent there, and later in Berlin and Frankfurt. Before coming to America, I moved from these large urban areas to a natural setting in the forested hills of the Westerwald region, to be closer to nature, from which I draw my inspiration. In 2008, I relocated to the United States, and currently reside and work in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, surrounded by abundant wildlife and flora. In America, I am an artist member of AVA Gallery, and a juried member of the Boston Printmakers’ Guild. I teach photography at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire.
